4. Massages
Concerning the pain caused by a certain tension or coming from the jaw, it is wise to delicately massage this area, exerting pressure and starting from the back of the ears, going down along the neck then going back towards the top. This type of massage can also help relieve the pain caused by the ear infection, by draining excess fluid and preventing the discomfort from getting worse.
5. Natural drops
They are available in pharmacies or on the internet. They are made from plant extracts and are useful for reducing pressure caused by earwax and fluids. Apparently, these drops would be as effective as antibiotic-based treatments; nevertheless, it is recommended to consult a doctor before applying them to a child.
6. Ginger
Ginger is considered a possible anti-inflammatory. It could reduce pain thanks to its active properties, such as those present in gingerol, in addition to being antimicrobial and antimycotic. Simply apply warm ginger juice around the external canal, without pouring it directly into the ear.
7. Garlic
For many years, garlic was used as a remedy to relieve pain and prevent infections thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. To alleviate this phenomenon, you must soak previously crushed garlic in sesame oil for a few minutes. Then, all you have to do is filter it and place it in the ear canal.
8. Hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is regularly used. It is a popular antiseptic used to treat wounds and lesions. For earache, simply put between 3 and 5 drops in the affected ear, every 3 or 4 hours. It is important to leave them on inside the ear for a few minutes and clean it with clean water.
