When Patricia Clarke, then 24 years old, got pregnant in 1983, she had a strong suspicion that her baby would be large.
Since she had already given birth to one, she knew that her family was known for having big families. It was entirely unexpected, however, the enormous size of the baby she was carrying.
Patricia gave birth to a massive baby boy named Kevin Robert Clark; he weighed more than 16 pounds. He may have been the biggest baby ever born in New Jersey—or at least at Community Memorial Hospital—during his time.
Despite the fact that he was too little to fit into a regular-sized crib and his newborn clothing were too tight, Kevin’s parents were happy to find that he was perfectly healthy.
It was no surprise that his size was striking. After appearing on many programs, including “Good Morning America” and “Saturday Night Live,” his national celebrity increased dramatically.
