Breton cake: the authentic recipe

350 gr of flour
300 gr of sugar
1 sachet of vanilla sugar
1 whole egg and 6 egg yolks
350 gr of unsalted butter
Instructions
Remove the butter from the refrigerator to let it soften.
In a large bowl, pour the flour and add the sugar and vanilla sugar.
Make a well in the center of the mixture and add a whole egg, five egg yolks and the soft butter.
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Mix the dough with a wooden spoon, just enough to combine the ingredients.
Generously butter a mold, then spread and flatten the dough inside.
Brush the surface of the dough with egg yolk and trace streaks using the tines of a fork.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
Let the dough cool before unmolding.
