Instructions :
Prepare the pasta: Cook linguine or spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and reserve.
Sauté the shrimp: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
Prepare the Cajun sauce: In the same skillet, add the rest of the butter and olive oil. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, but be careful not to brown it. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes, adjusting the spiciness level to your preference.
Deglaze with liquid: Pour in chicken broth and white wine (if using), scraping bottom of pan to incorporate bits of flavor. Let the mixture simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
Combine shrimp and pasta: Return cooked shrimp to skillet. Add the cooked pasta and cover everything evenly with the fragrant Cajun sauce. Squeeze the lemon juice over the mixture and mix again.
Season and garnish: Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the dish for a touch of freshness and color.
