Prepare the dough: Combine the flour, egg, and salt in a large bowl. Gradually add water and knead until you form a smooth, elastic dough. Let it rest for about 30 minutes.
Make the filling: Mix the ground meat with the chopped onion, salt, pepper, and any other desired spices or herbs.
Roll and cut the dough: Roll out the dough on a floured surface until very thin. Cut it into small squares, about 2-3 cm each.
Fill and shape the Manti: Place a small amount of filling in the center of each square. Pinch the corners together to form a tiny bundle, ensuring the filling is enclosed.
Cook the Manti: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Drop the Manti into the water and cook until they float to the surface, usually about 10-12 minutes.
Prepare the sauce: Mix the yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt. In a small pan, melt the butter and add paprika or red pepper flakes.
Serve: Drain the Manti and place them on a serving dish. Top with the garlic yogurt and drizzle the melted butter sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
