This solution can act effectively against bleach stains and is suitable for wool, linen, denim and cotton fabrics.
Simply use a cloth soaked in hydrogen peroxide before rubbing the bleach-affected area. Then rinse your textile with water before letting it air dry. It is recommended to put the clothes in the washing machine for best results.
Caution: White vinegar should never be used to neutralize bleach. This combination can produce very toxic chlorine gas.
If despite your attempts the stain is still present, you will have no choice but to dye the fabric.
How to restore color to clothes affected by bleach?
Once the bleach stain is neutralized, you can restore the color of your fabrics by adopting the following methods:
– Use a fabric marker on bleach stains.
Fabric markers are available in the market in various color shades.
Very practical for filling in small stains, textile pencils or textile markers can be used on any fabric.
You can even use it on shoes or upholstery. The only downside is that you may end up with a slightly different color tone. If you know how to use a brush you will know how to integrate and mix different colors.
