Ingredients :
– 3 cups self-rising flour
– 2 cups Greek yogurt
– 1/2 cup bacon bits (no cooking needed)
– 1/2 cup your favorite grated cheese
– garlic powder and dried parsley to taste
Notes: If not you have bacon on hand, ham should work too.
Instructions:
1. Mix the bacon pieces, parsley flakes and garlic powder making sure they are well mixed. Put aside.
2. Mix the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour until you have a firm dough. Once it has started to come together, transfer it to a floured surface and knead for a few minutes until all the flour is fully incorporated and the dough becomes smooth.
3. Line the slow cooker with a sheet of parchment paper and place the dough inside.
4. Sprinkle the grated cheese and bacon mixture over the dough.
5. Cover the slow cooker with a lid and to avoid excess moisture, place a towel under the lid. Cook over low heat for about 2.5 hours.
6. Remove the cooked dough from the slow cooker and place it under the broiler to lightly brown the top. This step is optional but will result in a crispy texture on
the surface
