- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until the mixture is foamy.
- Add sour cream, vegetable oil and lemon juice to the mixture.
- Little by little add the sifted flour and yeast, mixing until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured baking pan.
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until the cake is golden and cooked through.
- Once cooked, let it cool and then sprinkle with icing sugar.
Suggestions and variations
- To give it an extra touch of freshness, you can add a little lemon zest to the dough.
- If you prefer a moister consistency, substitute half the amount of oil with Greek yogurt.
- Add a squeeze of lemon to the cake once it is ready to enhance its flavor even more.
