Pour the beets into the boiling milk! I’m not going to the store anymore! Only 3 ingredients
Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
Stir occasionally to prevent the milk from burning on the bottom of the saucepan.
Add the beet:
Once the milk starts to boil, add the grated beetroot to the pan.
Reduce heat and let mixture simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Beets will infuse the milk with its vibrant color and nutrients.
Sweeten with honey:
Once the beets have softened and the milk has turned a nice pink color, remove the pan from the heat.
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey, adjusting to your preferred level of sweetness. Honey not only sweetens the drink, but also provides its own health benefits.
Strain and serve:
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove the beet pulp, leaving a smooth, colorful drink.
Pour the beet milk into a glass and enjoy warm, or let it cool and serve over ice for a refreshing treat.
